Week 2: Basics (Island - Beta)
I was able to acquire another Beta card for my project. For week 2, I picked up a Beta Island. I actually split the eBay auction with my friend Matt. The auction had 2 Beta Islands, but they were different art. He uses the other art, so we split the cost evenly and purchased the auction. All in all it worked out well for both of us.
My count of Beta lands now stands at 1. Part of the reason is that it has been hard to justify $10-$20 for a basic land when other versions cost $0.25 or less. The other part is that they are so hard to find. I am trying to stick with the same art, and this is the art I like. These will pop up here fairly often throughout the year, hopefully, since I will need 16-24 Beta basics total.
